2025 - Time Flies When Your Having Fun!
This blog serves two purposes. I've been asked to post the details of setting up the show on a day to day basis. It also functions like the oganizer in my pocket. The organizer holds my brains, so when my brain is not working, I can reach in to my brain and recall what ever it is I'm trying to remember. This blog does nearly the same thing. It also lets me know how much time I spend making the smiles when the "Lignts are On". If you find anything interesting that you would like me to expand on, just send an email. Sorry I don't do facebook.
Where the time goes is beyond me. Just beware if your thinking of retiring and that you'll have lots of time on your hands, your about to have a big let down!

1/05/26 - Monday. And the Teardown begins. 1:30pm - 6:30pm - 5 hours - 1/2 hour sidetrack.
☐ 00-Wow! Sure wish setting up the show was as fast as tearing it down.
1:30-6:30. Made a lot of progress in 4 1/2 hours. Everything is down except Mini trees, Mega tree, Spiral tree, South and North eves boards and lights, entry way eve lights, oak and walnut tree tower lights, and controllers need to be put in storage. The hot shower and Peachtree schnapps is hitting the spot right now.
1/06/26 - Tuesday.Went outside this morning for about 15 minutes while it was raining. Picked up a number of signal and power cords off the ground and out of the snow in case it freezes.
Helped Kathy take the ornaments off of the tree. All the rest of the indoor deco is down. Will be putting into storae nooks and crannies over the next couple of days.
1/07/26 - Wednesday.The electric heater and fan in the garage have dried up everything laying everywhere. Will start tagging and storing items today. Turned heater back on because the electric meter is not spinning fast enough!
1/07/26 - Wednesday.Had to take advantage of the slight rise in temperature. The entryway eve lights and snowflakes along with all of the entryway eve's boards are down. All the power cords / signal cords are hung up. Mpst of the misc lights and props are in their containers and in the trailer. Rafters now has various things put away. Electric heater and fan are still running in the garage drying out the 16 mini trees I managed to get unhooked and taken into garage just as it became dark. If all goes well, tomorrow morning weather cooperation will allow for taking down the mega tree lights and spiral tree lights. Hopefully the towers as well.
